Part:BBa_K771106
GBDligand
components of interacting proteins
Usage and Biology
The GBD ligand along with its domain(Part:BBa_K771105) comes from Rattus rattus, which could dimerize spontaneously. The original dimer was introduced by Dueber et al., 2012. This pair of dimer is a perfect material to construct the dimerizable proteins. In Membrane Magic system designed by [http://2012.igem.org/Team:SJTU-BioX-Shanghai 2012 SJTU-BioX-Shanghai Team], the GBD ligand is located in Membrane Anchor 5, while the GBD domain on Membrane Anchor 4. A flexible linker3(FL3) is added to the N-terminus of the domain, enabling its proper interaction with its domain on Membrane Anchor 4.
